Guitar god Slash was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, July 10. The unveiling of the star, located in front of the Hard Rock Café on Hollywood Blvd., was quite a high-profile event, with always-good-for-a-laugh actor Charlie Sheen on hand to celebrate with Slash while taking a few verbal pot shots at Slash’s estranged former bandmate Axl Rose.

Sheen, he of the Adonis blood and tiger DNA, is not only a neighbor, but also a personal friend of the former Guns N’ Roses guitarist. So when he saw the opportunity to take a jab at Axl, he took it, saying, “It’s quite fitting that Slash is getting a star on the very street Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on.” Zing.

In the video, seen below and posted by TMZ, the top-hatted rocker is seen looking away and chuckling at Sheen’s comment. Come on. Even the staunchest Axl Rose fans would admit that Sheen’s joke was funny.

Sheen added, “This star is going to be stepped on more than the coke we did in the ’80s.
