Buzzov-en have announced a new spate of February dates, which will be their third go-round since reuniting. Additionally, bassist Dixie Dave Collins will be gearing up for the release of 'Jason ... the Dragon,' the new album by his other band, Weedeater, which he sings for, via Southern Lord on March 15.

Dixie Dave -- who made metal headlines last year when he shot off his big toe while cleaning his shotgun -- checked in with Noisecreep, saying that while he is a year removed from the incident, his bum toe is "pretty much fully healed ... just a bit of phantom pain now and then." He is also unphased by the fact that most people remember him for blowing off a digit on his foot. "I don't care what people remember. That doesn't bother me," he said.

As for the Buzzov-en reunion, things are going swimmingly for the sludgemongers. "It's been going very well," Dixie Dave said. "I am happy with it ... it's been a long time since we played together ...12 years or so. I'm having a great time with it."

Since Dixie Dave spends a lot of time on the road with Buzzov-en and Weedeater, he has a few items that he needs in his knapsack. "Well I always need weed, but we are flying a lot and we get it free pretty much nightly. So I guess the only thing I always bring is a stuffed monkey my daughter gave me," he admitted.

Both of his bands -- and his stuffed monkey -- will be touring the US and Europe through April. "After that, I am sure we will stay busy, but don't have anything announced yet."
