Bullet for My Valentine Singer’s Air, Land + Sea Performance Released as Documentary Short

Last month we got a glimpse of some clips of Bullet for My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck performing continuously in the air, on land and at sea as part of Jagermeister’s Ice Cold Gig series by Secret Compass. Now, a more detailed 12-minute documentary of Tuck’s pioneering feat has been released that you can watch above.

Tuck took three friends along with him on the excursion to Lyngenfjord, Norway (nearly 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle) to be his live audience. They jumped out of a helicopter, with Tuck playing acoustic guitar while they floated to the ground. Then they jumped in a speedboat as the performance continued on the sea. Finally, Tuck and company hopped onto a dogsled and wrapped up the gig sitting around a campfire enjoying some Jagermeister.

The video follows the entire journey from when Tuck first tells his friends what the scoop is through the various legs of the performance to winding down at the end of the evening. Tuck gives his impressions of the day, as do his friends.

In the video, Tuck says, “I’ve played the biggest stages with some of the best bands in the world. It’s been amazing. As a one-off experience, this has been the ultimate. To bring a few of my best mates along with me was just amazing.”

Bullet for My Valentine will be returning to the United States for the second leg of the ‘British Invasion’ tour with Asking Alexandria. The trek will kick off on April 30 in Jacksonville, Fla. as part of the Fort Rock festival and a full list of shows can be seen at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
