Can it be? The season finale of 'American Idol' is this week. Tonight, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen will face off in a final singing match, something chronically nasty judge Simon Cowell predicts to be an all-out "ding dong."

Here at Noisecreep, we're all about fair music journalism. We also play favorites when it's necessary and with this special season of 'Idol,' it's definitely necessary. Adam Lambert has the pipes to become the next big voice in rock and by gosh, we're behind him – and we're not the only ones. "I don't know if Adam Lambert is going to win...but he should!" exclaims Josh Todd of Buckcherry. "He's a lot more talented than the other guy. I think he's got a great rock voice. I think he should be a rock musician. That seems to be where his passion is. I think he's an incredible performer. He's a little theatrical at times and I think if he got in a rock band... that would be great!"

Lambert has earned substantial press during his run on 'Idol,' thanks in large part to his rock star ways. Entertainment Weekly gave Lambert an entire cover and Rolling Stone has proclaimed that he "single handedly saved 'American Idol.'"

The remaining two contestants will sing three songs each and viewers will vote for either Lambert or Allen.

'American Idol' airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The winner will be announced tomorrow in a special two hour finale featuring many guests including Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah, the Black Eyed Peas, and last season's 'Idol' winner, David Cook.
