BrooklynVegan Hostsing Showcase at SXSW

South by Southwest is where the party is at every spring in Austin, Texas. This year, hordes of bands will play on over 80 stages during the music festival. The uber-popular Web site BrooklynVegan will host a special showcase during the event on March 17 featuring bands like Califone and Serena Maneesh. The hipster rock goes down at Club DeVille.

Also on March 17 is another showcase presented by BrooklynVegan in partnership with 20 Buck Spin/Profound Lore and Chronic Youth. Fear not! This showcase features a whole lot of metal. Head into Emo’s to catch Dark Castle, Torche, the Atlas Moth and Salome, among others.

After SXSW, Dark Castle will hit the road with Kylesa for a jaunt across Europe.

Want to attend SXSW? Badges are required for many parts of the festival and options are outlined on the SXSW official Web site. Many concerts are free, so check ahead of time once you’ve set a game plan.
