Brian ‘Head’ Welch to Pen New Memoir About Time Away From Korn

Charles Epting for Loudwire

Korn guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch is getting ready to pen his latest book. The memoir, which will be the fourth book of Welch’s personal bibliography, will focus on the eight years he was away from Korn — a period of time Welch calls his “wilderness years.”

Anyone who has read any of Brian ‘Head’ Welch’s books (or his ‘HeAd’s KoRner‘ pieces on Loudwire) knows that Welch is very gifted when putting pen to paper. Welch has been an active writer for a while, releasing ‘Save Me From Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Life Story’ in 2008; ‘Washed by Blood: Lessons From My Time with Korn and My Journey to Christ,’ a 2008 “clean” version of ‘Save Me From Myself'; and ‘Stronger: Forty Days of Metal and Spirituality’ in 2010.

“I call ’em like ‘the wilderness years,’ when I was gone in a way, raising my daughter and doing all that stuff for all those years,” says Head. “And then, you know, getting together with the Korn guys again and — you know like my first book, like I told about my whole childhood and all the details and everything? I’m gonna do the same with this during like the mysterious ‘wilderness years,’ I like to call ’em.” [via Blabbermouth]

As of this posting, no book title or projected release date has been revealed.

Welch famously returned to Korn in 2013, touring extensively with the veteran band and performing on Korn’s 11th studio album, ‘The Paradigm Shift.’
