Brian ‘Head’ Welch Will Not Be ‘Paralyzed’ — Song Stream

Union Entertainment Group

Brian “Head” Welch has had one heck of a career up to this point. He first gained international acclaim as one half of the guitar team in nu-metal pioneers Korn. His unorthodox guitar work on the first six Korn studio albums made him one of the most influential players of the late ’90s and early ’00s.

In early 2005 Welch shocked the rock world when he announced his departure from Korn. He explained: “I was walking one day, just doing my Rock & Roll thing making millions of bucks, you know success and everything, addicted to drugs and then the next day I had Revelation of Christ and I was like, everything changes right now!” Welch went on to publish three best-selling books about his journey in music and faith – ‘Save Me From Myself’ [2007] and ‘Washed in Blood’ [2008] and ‘Stronger: 40 Days of Metal and Spirituality’ [2010].

Welsh went on to release ‘Save Me From Myself,’ his debut solo album in 2007. For the next couple of years he hit the road and toured the record throughout the world, while working on new material. On October 4th Welch will issue a new single entitled ‘Paralyzed.’ You can check out the song under the cut.

In late August Welsh released the following statement on his personal website:

“Recently, I have split from my record label Driven Music Group, and I have faced many new struggles in my life. However, I’ve also been traveling the world with my band (Valentine, Dan and J.R.) playing for you, my amazing fans! I am so excited to announce that a new chapter in my life is finally here and I’m so thankful that all of you can be a part of it!

“I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time for new music from us, and honestly, so have we! Which is why we’re so excited to tell you that we’ve been writing and recording with Jasen Rauch, one of the top producers and former guitarist of Red. It feels amazing to be back in the studio and making new music! A new EP will be out early next year, and we cannot wait for you to hear what we’re working on! It is definitely some of the best music I’ve ever been a part of.”
