Bret Michaels just released a sample of his new country-crossover song, "They Don't Make An App For That (The App Song)," today through his official Bret Michaels App.

"The App Song" is a fun, tongue-in-cheek country crossover tune that takes on today's social media culture.

The full version of the song will be available on the album Bret Michaels and Friends: Get Your Rock On, slated for a late fall release. Released on Jan, 23, 2012, Michaels' mobile app can be downloaded at this link and users can get information on tour dates, videos, music and more through the app on their smartphones.

This past summer Michaels joined country great Kenny Chesney on stage to sing his song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." The duo has performed at each other's shows every possible chance. Michaels also opened for Toby Keith in Sturgis last year and has taken to the stage in the past with the likes of Hank Williams, Jr. and Montgomery Gentry during the CMA Festival, hosted Nashville Star with Leeann Rimes & Phil Vassar and threw a party after the CMT Flameworthy Awards, that saw Toby Keith, Troy Gentry (Montgomery Gentry), Joe Nichols and more get up and sing on stage with the rocker.
