RadarOnline.com reports that Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora will be checking into rehab.

Sambora, 52, is reportedly heading to a treatment center in order to seek rest and get sober. Sambora has been touring constantly, and it's no secret that life on the road is brutal even for a seasoned veteran.

Bon Jovi were christened as the biggest live draw of 2010, raking in $201 million in tour revenue and ticket receipts.

This will not be Sambora's first stint in rehab. The guitarist, who was married to actress Heather Locklear, spent a month at the Cirque Lodge in Utah in 2007. At the time, his marriage to Locklear had imploded, he split from girlfriend Denise Richards, and his father died of lung cancer.

Sambora also recently launched a clothing line called White Trash Beautiful.

"Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together," a source told RadarOnline.com. This source added that the band has been very supportive of the decision to enter rehab.

"Richie has had a busy year," a close friend of the musician told Radar. "I think this was a culmination of all the things that overloaded his life and finally he realized he needed to take care of himself."

Bon Jovi have more domestic tour dates on the docket through May, as well as a European stint planned for June. It is not known how Sambora's rehab will affect the tour or the band.

Whatever the case, Noisecreep wishes Sambora the best.
