Maybe single genre festivals are a thing of a past. As fests like Sweden Rock and Wacken Open Air begin to announce acts for 2010, a new American event has emerged with some very big names. The Hullabalou Festival is a three day event set for July 23-25 in Louisville, Ky. To make matters more interesting, promoters are holding the event at Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby.

Who's on board? Bon Jovi, for starters. The legendary rockers will play the fest as an official stop on The Circle Tour. Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews Band will also headline. That's right: mixed genre headliners. Other rock bands already inked include Gov't Mule, the Black Crowes, War, .38 Special and Kansas. In total, more than 65 bands will play on various stages throughout the thee-day event. More bands will be announced during Spring 2010.

Advance ticketing begins Dec. 4 at noon via Ticketmaster. Check out the festival Web site for a complete breakdown of different ticketing options. On-site camping is not offered.
