Blessthefall Frontman Looks Forward to Exchanging Vows With Singer Lights
Blessthefall's lead singer Beau Bokan is one busy man.
On the opening day of the band's headlining The Fearless Friends tour (which also features The Word Alive, Motionless in White, Tonight Alive, and Chunk! No, Captain Chunk) he's also in the middle moving from his Huntington Beach, Calif. home to a new place in Whittier (also in Southern California). Not to mention all of the press he's been doing in support of 'Awakening,' Blessthefall's new hit album.
Bokan is also getting ready to get married to his fiancee, Canadian electro-pop artist Lights. "After this tour I'm taking my first vacation ever!," Bokan told Noisecreep. "We're going to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico with Lights. I've never been on a proper vacation so this will be really cool. There are some other tours after that, we go to Europe with Asking Alexandria, then we go out with We Came as Romans and Emmure, after that it's Southeast Asia and Australia, which will be amazing."
Noisecreep then asked the frontman about his wedding plans.
"We're shooting for May," the singer said. "She tours as well, so with our crazy schedules it's tough. We may have to wait until right after summer because we plan on playing the Warped Tour this year. She lives in Toronto and I think I may be settling up there eventually, it's an option."
Bokan loves touting his fiance's music.
"Lights is an amazing artist. She has a new album out that came out the exact same day as 'Awakening,' which was incredible - totally not planned. it's called 'Siberia' and I'm so proud of both her record and ours. It's a crazy world to be a part of what I do and also to enjoy her music as well with her. We're both chasing the same dream and both supporting each other so much."
Could he ever imagine them working together?
"We talk about it a lot and and promised each other we couldn't do it unless it came naturally. So we will do it, but only when the time is right - when we want to do it - not when others tell us to do. But yeah, it is inevitable."
