Orange County, Calif. metalcore pioneers Bleeding Through are wasting no time in making sure 2010 will be as productive as it is destructive. The band will release its self-titled sixth album on April 13 and will celebrate the release with the Spring Breakdown Tour 2010, which starts April 9 in San Diego, Calif. and ends in Pomona, Calif. on May 16. Born of Osiris, Sleeping Giant, Oceano and Legend will open the show.

'Bleeding Through' was produced by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) and is the follow-up to 2008's 'Declaration.' Frontman Brandan Schieppati told Noisecreep that the band wanted to write and record it quickly to get past the bitterness and legal wrangling that commenced when the group's former label Trustkill allegedly didn't pay the band owed money or properly support 'Declaration.'

"The last couple years, we felt that 'Declaration' was our best record, but we wanted to move on and have something fresh for people," he said. "We didn't want to drag on a record that's no longer in print and is no longer getting pushed. So we decided to write a record pretty quick and get it out there, and it came out even better than 'Declaration.'"

'Anti-Hero,' the first single from 'Bleeding Through,' is currently streaming on the band's MySpace. A pummeling blend of black metal beats, thrash riffs, hardcore vocals, goth keyboards and metalcore breakdowns, the song offers a tantalizing taste of the new Bleeding Through. Schieppati said the track is about fair weather fans who are there one minute and gone the next.

"Some people look up to bands really passionately and they'll tell you you're the reason for them being here," he said. "Then three years later you don't see them at a show anymore because they've got into another band. They put your up to be this hero, and then you kind of realize you're just a f---ing anti-hero."
