Kentucky's Black Stone Cherry know how to party. It's a necessity when playing southern styled hard rock -- and if any time of the year is a party, it's Christmas time. "This Christmas cover song came about on a cold December night last year, while jamming in our practice house in Kentucky," guitarist Ben Wells told Noisecreep while discussing where their cover of 'Santa Is Back' first took form.

"We love to rock, but we also love our Christmas tunes! We figured, what better song to cover than one originally made famous by none other than the King, Elvis Presley! We jammed it once or twice and recorded it live on the spot. Of course we put our BSC spin on it, and are happy it has been so well-received by our fans. Enjoy and happy holidays!"

Black Stone Cherry's last album ('Folklore and Superstition') brought the band to new critical acclaim and a fan base as the foursome went on to tour with Nickelback and received the thumbs up approval from Lynyrd Skynyrd's Rickey Medlocke.

A new album is expected next year.
