Rock 'n' roll memoirs are all the rage these days, with the likes of Sammy Hagar, Keith Richards, and Steven Tyler currently cashing in on tomes that detail their years of sex, drugs, and hell-raising. Now, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi is getting in on the fun by writing his own life story.

Black-Sabbath.com, an unofficial fan site, reports that Iommi's book will be called 'Iron Man: My Life with Black Sabbath and Beyond,' and that the rights to the book were recently purchased by a publisher for a cool six figure sum at an auction.

Word is that Iommi is still working on the book, which has no set release date as of press time. If and when the Tony Iommi autobiography comes out, Noisecreep is certainly looking forward to reading about Iommi's perspective on life with Ozzy Osbourne and about what it was like to be a part of the band that defined heavy metal as we know it.
