It is with heavy hearts that Noisecreep brings this news to metal fans. Behemoth vocalist/guitarist Nergal has revealed that he is in dire need of a bone marrow transplant. He was recently diagnosed with leukemia, hence the cancelation of recent Behemoth tour dates slated for the fall and the foreseeable future.

In light of his diagnosis, Nergal wants to remind and encourage everyone to sign up for the marrow registry. The more people that are tested and donate, the more of a chance for life there is for him and people in the same situation to survive and live long, healthy, happy lives.

The band and its label Metal Blade would also like to thank everyone for their support and well wishes during this difficult time.

Want to help? You can by learning as much as possible about the marrow donation process -- not only to help save one of metal's best musicians, but to also help save countless others out there struggling with the same disease.

Learn more about how you can register to donate marrow. Meanwhile, keep Nergal in your thoughts and prayers. He needs them right now.

Fans wanting to help out, register for the marrow program or ask questions about running a marrow drive may contact the organization Music Saves Lives by email at iCare@musicsaveslives.com or at Music Save Lives' official website.
