With a new album coming out on Victory Records, Houston's Before There Was Rosalyn have plenty to talk about. The title, 'The Fuhrer: An Allegory of a History of Deception,' is bound to raise many eyebrows, given its deep political and philosophical implications about life, death and much of the wrongdoing in-between. "This record is about how absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's about humanity's potential to create and our power to destroy," lead singer Carlos Salazer told HM magazine. "Lyrically and musically, it's the darkest thing we have ever written together." The album features stunning artwork a bit of collaboration with friends from other bands.

In many interviews with Christian metal bands, members either avoid the subject of their faith altogether or repeat the intensity of religion's taboo factor in metal culture. However, Carlos -- who's also a published author -- discusses the circumstances of his strong sense of faith, and fearlessly explains his mentality on the subject.

'The Fuhrer: An Allegory of a History of Deception' will be released on Oct. 27 and the band has a handful of tour dates lined up for late October.
