Battle Royale: Michael Sweet Holds Off Korn, Hellyeah + More on Video Countdown
For several weeks, Michael Sweet’s ‘I’m Not Your Suicide’ video has been lying in wait for the top spot on the Noisecreep Battle Royale Video Countdown, and that wait is now over. Taking 27 percent of the vote, ‘I’m Not Your Suicide’ held off Tom Keifer‘s ‘The Flower Song’ video to claim the No. 1 spot.
But how long with Sweet’s run be? Steel Panther look to be the next big challenger, as ‘Gloryhole’ debuted at No. 3 this week. Korn‘s ‘Spike in My Veins’ mounted a late charge to climb a spot to No. 4, while last week’s chart-topper — Saliva‘s ‘Rise Up’ — tumbled back down to No. 5. Also of note is the debut of Hellyeah‘s ‘Sangre Por Sangre (Blood for Blood) video, arriving at No. 8 on the Battle Royale.
This week also featured the re-entries of Bobaflex‘s ‘I’m Glad You’re Dead’ and Riotgod’s ‘Driven Rise’ videos, which means Shinedown‘s ‘Through the Ghost,’ Dead By April’s ‘As a Butterfly,’ Bullet for My Valentine‘s ‘Raising Hell’ and Pop Evil‘s ‘Torn to Pieces’ all fall out of the Top 10 this week. That’s quite a shakeup, and there could be an even bigger one next week as new videos from Adelitas Way, Heaven’s Basement, Lacuna Coil, Linkin Park, Lindsey Stirling featuring Lzzy Hale and The Virginmarys become part of the voting for the first time.
You can see those clips, along with all of the other videos in the voting, by clicking on the title in Battle Royale poll at the upper right of this page (or at the bottom of the post for those voting on mobile devices). You can vote up to once per hour until the next Battle Royale deadline on Friday, May 9 at 11AM ET. So get to it. Make sure your favorite video rises into the Battle Royale this next week.
