On Monday (Aug. 27), a 15-year-old student named Bobby Gladden was arrested after allegedly shooting a classmate at a suburban high school in Baltimore. Police say Gladden opened fire in the school's lunchroom of Perry Hall High School, and leaving fellow student Daniel Borowy critically injured. Gladden was eventually restrained by guidance counselor Jesse Wasmer, who also took his gun away.

According to a report on Blabbermouth, Gladden was "obsessed" withe German industrial group Rammstein. The site also points to the teen's Facebook page where his last status update reads, ""First day of school, last day of my life. ... fuck the world." Gladden's page also describes himself as a "metalhead" on his page, counting Slipknot and Marilyn Manson among his favorite bands. [Blabbermouth]

Sweden's Graveyard, who have their own brew of beer, will drop Lights Out on Nov. 6. The band will tour the U.S. in early 2013 and that's about all we could discern from a cryptically worded press release about the new album. [Via Press Release]

The venerable Sharon Osbourne is now supporting Be Clear on Cancer, an initiative that raises awareness for colon cancer. Mrs. O battled the disease back in 2003 and won! The British-backed endeavor encourages people to go to the doctor if they notice anything different when they use the bathroom. In her typical, blunt Sharon way, Ozzy's missus urges people not to be shy and be aware of their bodies. Sharon said, "For goodness sake, –we'’ve all got a bum and we all poo, so get over it. The sooner bowel cancer is caught, the more likely the chance of survival. That is why everyone needs to just look out for the symptoms and head straight to the doctor if you are worried about anything. Early detection could save your life." Yes, ma'am. King Diamond had triple bypass surgery, but that didn't take the metal maestro down. He's doing better and recently spoke about his post-surgery perspective. "It's not like you become born again or anything life changing in that respect," he said. "I'm totally the same person. The best way to explain it is actually – let's say I'm here at my house and I look out of the windows and now and then I see things through those windows – now it's like I have the double amount of windows. I see so much more, I pay attention to so many more things – the smelling sensation, the taste sensation are enhanced by a hundred because I don't smoke anymore." [Loudwire]
