Bad Wolves ‘Toast to the Ghost’ in New Song, Announce Debut Album

Bad Wolves are on the prowl. The new band, featuring Tommy Vext (who you may know for his brief tenure this year filling in on vocals for Five Finger Death Punch), is set to release their debut album in spring 2018 through Eleven Seven Music. To give people a taste of what’s coming down the pipeline, the group has released their new song “Toast to the Ghost.”

The band makes good on delivering a huge impact with their music, offering up a sonic piledriver to listeners within the first 30 seconds of the song. Vext is able to drift between smooth and harmonious singing to wrathful yells. Drums hit at a mile a minute, lining the song with blast beats for days. Everything ends in an apocalyptic breakdown, totally destructive and making you want more.

The connection to Five Finger Death Punch continues, as the group also announced they will be managed by the band’s Zoltan Bathory. “I knew these guys for many years from their previous bands so I knew they were all exceptional musicians,” Bathory says. “But when they formed ‘Bad Wolves’ and played me the first few songs I thought …Okay… there is fire here, this one has the magical combination. Hard work and persistence always outstrip talent, and these guys have both.”

The group has a righteous pedigree of members, ensuring the future heaviness. In addition to Vext, they consist of drummer John Boecklin (ex-DevilDriver), guitarist Doc Coyle (Vagus Nerve, ex-God Forbid), guitarist Chris Cain (Bury Your Dead) and bassist Kyle Konkiel (ex-In This Moment). From what we’ve heard here, you’re not going to want to miss out on Bad Wolves’ 2018.
