Avenged Sevenfold have shared a 30-second audio teaser of the title track of their forthcoming sixth effort 'Hail to the King,' which is scheduled to drop on Aug. 27.

The teaser starts with a galloping solo and thunder clap drumbeats as a fist-pumping, fraternal chant of "Hey!" is woven underneath. M. Shadows sings, "There's a taste of fear / When the henchmen call," before launching into a throaty roar and the chorus of "Hail to the king."

Judging from the limited sample, it sounds exactly like the Avenged Sevenfold you have come to know and love, with plenty of shreddy riffs, lyrics that you want to sing along to and battering ram percussion. Even though they are six albums deep, A7X have not lost an inch of bite. In fact, their fangs are as sharp as ever.

Granted, this is just a half-minute of music, but in 30 seconds, we hear all the band's sonic hallmarks. We'll go out on a limb and say that it appears that Avenged Sevenfold will further establish themselves as the 'King' of the heavy metal genre in 2013 once Aug. 27 arrives.
