Daath Add New Elements on Self-Titled Album
After tossing around ideas for the name of the follow-up to their 2009's 'The Concealers,' Daath have decided to name it simply 'Daath.' In part, the band's fourth record is eponymous because it will reinvent the their sound.
"A lot of the riffs are very unconventional, and there's also a lot of really brutal old-school sounding death metal on there," guitarist Emil Werstler told Noisec
The Buckcherry Interview — ”Creep Show’
Bands that score one big radio hit often rock out for a while, exploit the fruits of their labor, then fade away. Buckcherry, though, are too single-minded to be so ephemeral. When 'Lit Up' went huge in 1999, it looked like the clock was ticking on the band's 15 minutes of fame -- especially when 2001's 'Time Bomb' failed to ignite...
Dio, ‘Holy Diver Live’ — DVD Reissue
To celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the classic 1983 Dio album 'Holy Diver,' the band performed the disc in its entirety on their 2005 tour. A show at the London Astoria was filmed and turned into the DVD 'Holy Diver Live,' which was originally released in 2006...

All That Remains, ‘For We Are Many’ — New Album
One of the biggest sleeper metalcore sensations of 2008 were All That Remains, which landed at 16 on the Billboard charts with 'Overcome,' selling 240,000 copies thanks in part to the hits 'Two Days' and 'Forever in Your Hands.' The Massachusetts band will follow up the disc with their fifth album 'For We Are Many' on Oct...
Soundgarden Featured in Upcoming ‘Guitar Hero’
The real news isn't that recently reformed band Soundgarden will be putting out a new compilation, 'Telephantasm,' on Sept. 28 and that the collection will feature one previously unreleased song. The interesting element is that the band will bundle one million copies of the album with the new video game 'Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock,' which also comes out Sept...
Original Black Sabbath to Reunite Again?
As Ozzy Osbourne has intoned so many times onstage, "Crazy, but that's how it goes." There is growing evidence that the original Black Sabbath -- Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward -- are going to reunite for an album and tour...
Sleep Waking Up for Reunion Tour Dates
When High on Fire Frontman Matt Pike swung by the Noisecreep offices earlier this year for a podcast interview he told us that he was getting his influential '90s stoner metal band Sleep back together in the fall for brief U.S. tour. At the time we were stoked, but a little skeptical since the band had only played two shows since breaking up in 1997...
Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction Swim in Icy Norwegian Fjords
In the mid '80s, British biker metal band Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction sang about fast motorcycles and faster women, booze, pills, stardom and the kind of insanity that abounded in London's seedy clubs and streets. Now, 20-some years later, the band is writing songs about fast times and, er, Vikings...
Rob Zombie Records Three Songs for ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2′ Special Edition
Like many of the more aware and intelligent musicians still out there, Rob Zombie doesn't have a whole lot of faith in the music business anymore. Even though his latest album, 'Hellbilly Deluxe 2,' debuted at number eight on the Billboard Top 200, the first week sales of 49,000 were less than half of what its predecessor, 'Educated Horses,' sold in April 2006...
