San Diego's As I Lay Dying have a wonderful and more than excusable reason for their absence on the first five shows of the Lamb of God No Fear Energy tour, where they are main support alongside Children of Bodom. Singer Tim Lambesis has to miss the dates since he's finalizing the adoption process for a baby. The vocalist of the Grammy-nominated band told Noisecreep, "It's an amazing thing to become a father, but an honor like that is something that can never be timed perfectly. I've been in the process of adoption from Ethiopia for about a year now and it turns out that I will be able to take my son home in the first week of April."

Of course Lambesis' tourmates are more than supportive of his actions. It's not every day that a man gets to meet his son for the first time and when that happens, work undoubtedly has to take a backseat, no matter what the job is. Lambesis also said, "I'm very thankful that Lamb of God have been so understanding about me missing the first week of their tour and the excitement of this adoption clearly outweighs any loss as far as touring plans are concerned. See everyone again soon!" We wish Lambesis and his family the best of luck with the newest addition to their family and we'll see him when he hops on the tour in a few weeks.
