As I Lay Dying Vacate Slot on Killswitch Engage Tour
As I Lay Dying have officially dropped off their upcoming North American tour with Killswitch Engage, and the news comes as no surprise as AILD frontman Tim Lambesis remains incarcerated on alleged murder-for-hire charges.
The band made the announcement on their Facebook page, stating: "In light of recent events, As I Lay Dying will unfortunately not be taking part in the upcoming tour with Killswitch Engage. Given the circumstances, we feel that it is best for the band to be off the road while the current situation gets sorted. We'd like to thank all of our fans for their ongoing support at this difficult time."
As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis was taken into custody earlier this month on charges that he attempted to hire a hitman to murder his estranged wife. He pleaded not guilty to the charges but remains incarcerated with a bail set at $3 million.
In As I Lay Dying's place, two bands have been added to the bill -- Darkest Hour and the Word Alive. They join Killswitch Engage, Miss May I and Affiance on the trek, which kicks off May 30 in Oklahoma, City. See the full list of tour dates here.
