As I Lay Dying are wasting no time hitting the road again this fall to support their most recent Metal Blade platter, 'The Powerless Rise,' after their stint headlining the Cool Tour. The As I Lay Dying tour dates begin in September and run through October, with All That Remains, Unearth and Carnifex filling the support slots. That's a lineup that'll certainly incite plenty of mosh pits.

AILD singer Tim Lambesis checked in with Noisecreep, saying that he believes this is the strongest lineup the band has ever taken on the road with it, because "behind the stage will be just as fun as on the stage!" He also offered up some hints about the upcoming set list, saying, "We haven't rehearsed or anything yet, but I will say that our primary purpose is to promote new album. So we're playing a handful of new songs and of course old ones, since I get frustrated about seeing bands that don't play songs I want to hear from their catalog. So we'll always do that."

Lambesis -- who adopted a son from Ethiopia over a year ago -- is adjusting to being on tour and a dad, and his little tyke is thriving in his new home. "He was so young when he got here that he didn't realize the difference between Ethiopia and San Diego," the singer said. As for the time away from family? Lambesis makes it work, saying, "If it is a full month, he comes out in the middle to split it up. We're apart for two weeks maximum."

In other AILD news, the band has been nominated for a San Diego Music Award in the Best Hard Rock Album category. Their tourmates in Carnifex are also nominated for the award.

Tickets are currently available for all shows.
