As I Lay Dying Name Forthcoming LP ‘The Powerless Rise’

As I Lay Dying

The pride of San Diego, metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying, have finished tracking their fifth studio LP, which will drop this spring through Metal Blade Records. The band have named the set ‘The Powerless Rise,’ which was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz.

As I Lay Dying will be touring around the album’s release, according to a press release from the band’s publicist. They’ve also announced a partnership with video game developers THQ Inc. “to offer consumers an exclusive opportunity to connect with the band” using the company’s latest title, ‘MX vs. ATV Reflex,’ which features the band track ‘The Sound of Truth.’

On Feb. 4, fans can play the off-road racing game with members of the band via Xbox Live. Those interested should use the gamer tag AILDband, and fans can battle it out with As I Lay Dying for more than two hours.

“If any gamers out there are looking to get their butts kicked in ‘MX vs. ATV Reflex,’ we’ll be ready and waiting for you on Feb. 4,” cautions guitarist Phil Sgrosso. “We shall conquer all those who challenge us, so prepare to meet your doom!”
