Seeing Arch Enemy is a complete experience. Thanks to over 20 years in existence, the group has remained one of melodic death metal's most prevalent acts in heavy metal as a whole. The group recently released their tenth and latest album Will to Power, and are keeping things moving, as they've released a new video for "The Race."

The song is an excellent choice to show what Arch Enemy bring to the live space. Singer Alissa White-Gluz is a total beast, able to pull off guttural, primal screams while also giving an energetic performance around the stage. The rest of the band jams out just as hard, taking the almost punk influenced song to its speedy heights. The song is a nice demonstration of how all-encompassing the band's music can be, easily moving between death metal into other styles of heavy, aggressive rock.

Founding member Michael Amott commented, "This was actually the last song written for the Will To Power album. Listening through all the material we had up to that point we agreed that the album needed one more song that would be a relentless and a fast paced counterpoint to some of the more epic compositions we already had. We sent Alissa the music and she came up with a thought-provoking set of lyrics with an intense vocal arrangement that complemented the music perfectly. We've been having a blast playing this song on the current tour and we had our video director Patric Ullaeus come out to capture the mayhem at our recent show in Helsinki, Finland... Enjoy 'The Race'!"

Arch Enemy will return to North America in late October, embarking on a co-headlining tour with Trivium, who will be promoting their new album The Sin and the Sentence. Support will come from While She Sleeps and Fit for an Autopsy and a full list of dates can be seen at this location.
