Every morning, NASA staffers wake up Curiosity, the MARS rover, with a song. On Day 6, her wake up call was none other than Anthrax‘s cover of Joe Jackson’s “Got the Time” from Persistence of Time. We bet that shook the rover from slumber. [Business Insider]

Ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler and his namesake band Adler have been added to the lineup of the second KISS Kruise, which sets sail on Oct. 31 and rides the high seas until Nov. 4. It leaves port in Miami, Florida and sails to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. The KISS Kruise marks the first-ever live performance of the band, so it’s a landmark occasion. “I’m really excited to debut my new band by playing with KISS,” the kit minder said. “KISS has always been one of my favorite bands and they are all great guys. The cruise is sure to be an amazing time.” [Via Press Release]

American symphonic metal crew Kamelot revealed the cover art for Silverthorn, due out on Oct. 30. The cover is gothic in nature, featuring black and blue tones and a raven-haired woman surrounded by birds. Of the artwork, guitarist Thomas Youngblood said, “Artist Stefan Heilemann captured the true essence of the story and the main character. The booklet and 44-page book is packed with amazing images!” This type of cover art is why a download just isn’t as good as a physical CD complete with artwork. Just sayin’. [Via Press Release]
