Last week, Anthrax offered up a toast to the late Dimebag Darrell on his birthday, but also revealed that they were in the studio to work on their new album. The band didn't waste any time getting to work as a new video has surfaced showing that they have indeed begun laying down new music.

In the short video posted above, guitarist Scott Ian teases the fact that recording has begun with an intro leading into a chaotic recording opening. But the clip quickly fades to black after a second or two of Charlie Benante's drums, Ian's guitar and Frank Bello's bass.

The group is currently working with producer Jay Ruston on the follow-up to their 2011 release 'Worship Music.' Along with the trio of Ian, Benante and Bello, the group also features lead vocalist Joey Belladonna and guitarist Jon Donais.

The band has been writing and demoing material over the past few months and plan to record right through the holidays and into January, with their eye toward a 2015 release. The disc will be the band's eleventh studio offering and will be released by Megaforce Records.
