After suffering the recent losses of members of Evile, 3 Inches of Blood and Candiria, the metal community has lost another one of its own. Over the weekend, Don Decker, a longtime metal promoter in the Midwest who fronted ultra-brutal pornogrind outfit Anal Blast, passed away at the age of 41.

An exact cause of death has not been publicized, but according to reports, Decker underwent a liver transplant last year. For years, Decker had been grappling with terminal liver disease, and making light of his situation in interviews. According to Decker's friends, his passing early Sunday morning was "peaceful."

Anal Blast was formed back in 1994 in Minneapolis, and the band's lyrics centered around sex, death and discharge. Anal Blast issued two full-length albums, 1998's 'Vaginal Vempire' and 2004's 'Battered Bleeding B----.' In 2008, the band issued a live DVD, called 'Spraying Blood Live.'

Early incarnations of Anal Blast featured Slipknot's Joey Jordison and Paul Gray. Decker was known for his devotion to the heavy metal genre and his efforts promoting Minnesota's metal scene. Decker once called the band "the most stupid band in the world."
