Amon Amarth Present An Evening With Amon Amarth Tour This August

Metal Blade

Viking metal warriors Amon Amarth have announced that they will return to pillage and burn the North American territories this summer. The band is billing this group of shows as An Evening With Amon Amarth. The tour will feature no opening or support acts. The band will use the time normally occupied by an opener to perform a separate full set.

During the first set, Amon Amarth will perform the recently released ‘Surtur Rising’ in its entirety, while the second set will be comprised of songs from their extensive catalog. The tour begins in Vancouver on August 4 before working its way south, via a path of deafening destruction, into the lower 48 states.

“Yes, it is true! We are coming back to tour North America,” Amon Amarth declared in a statement. “The spring tour turned out to be so successful, and we had such a great time playing the double sets each night, that we decided to bring An Evening With Amon Amarth to the rest of the continent, including Canada! We will perform the new album in its entirety, and after that, we’re doing a revised second set with all the classics as well as some ‘wild-cards.’”

“An Evening With” sounds so elite, doesn’t it? Leave it to Amon Amarth to douse the elite with the flames of metal.
