Amaranthe Unveil Heist-Themed ‘Boomerang’ Video Ahead of North American Tour

Amaranthe‘s latest album Maximalism was released last year. They have now unveiled the video for the song “Boomerang” that you can watch above.

“It is finally time to release our brand new video for ‘Boomerang,’ an Amaranthe take on the classic heist movie,” says guitarist Olof Mörck. “Directed by the legendary Patric Ulleaus, it is everything you have come to expect of an Amaranthe video and much more!”

Mörck continues, “It is perhaps the most ambitious video from the band so far, since it is packed to the brim with action, glitter, and glamour. You can try to bring us down, but we’ll come around, like a ‘Boomerang!'”

Amaranthe kick off a North American headlining tour tomorrow (Feb. 10) in Houston, Texas. Opening bands are Failure Anthem, Citizen Zero, Cypher 16 and Smash Into Pieces.

After Jake E. announced a hiatus from the band, they recruited Chris Adams from Smash Into Pieces to fill in for the tour. Now, Jake has confirmed he has permanently left Amaranthe. With Smash Into Pieces providing support, Chris Adams should continue to fill in at least through this tour.

“After eight years and four albums, I have decided to leave Amaranthe,” Jake E. says. “I am extremely proud of the band and what we’ve accomplished together. Amaranthe have the most AMAZING fans and they have given me so much during the years, which I am extremely grateful for. I want to thank them all for always supporting me during the highs and the lows. Thank you for these years and I hope to meet you again soon.”
