Alpha and OmegaLos Angeles' Alpha & Omega will release 'Life Swallower' via 6131 Records on July 13. Pre-production contributions to the album came from the likes of Andrew Kline of Strife, Nick Jett of Terror and Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, which should give you an indication of this band's cred factor. Check out the sick spin kicks happening in the pit in this album trailer to get an idea of what A&O are all about.

"We've been a band since 2008, put out an EP, 'Devils Bed,' on 6131 Records and are about to follow that up with an LP, 'Life Swallower,'" vocalist Luis Hernandez -- whose non-music hobbies include the gym, f---ing, eating, sleeping and skateboarding -- said, summing up the band's existence to Noisecreep. "We are influenced by Slayer, Cro Mags, Pantera and Biohazard." One listen to the band's ragey hardcore, and those influences certainly assert themselves, and that is always, always a good thing.

While one might not automatically think that L.A. has a thriving metal and hardcore scene, Hernandez dispelled the myth, saying, "L.A. hardcore and metal is alive and going very strong. There are lots of young and old faces at every show and plenty of venues popping up and supporting hardcore/metal shows. Not many cities can come close to what we have in L.A."

The 'Life Swallower' vinyl will be available in three different color variations: 100 orange with black splatter, 300 black with green splatter and 600 violet and black mix. 'Life Swallower' will also be available on CD.
