Alice in Chains, Slayer + Pantera Rock ‘Rocksmith 2014′ Track List

New additions from KISS, Pantera and Rise Against are taking their place alongside previously revealed cuts from Alice in Chains, Iron Maiden and Slayer on the upcoming ‘Rocksmith 2014′ game.

With the recent additions, Rocksmith 2014 has announced 30 songs in its library, and over 50 songs are expected to be announced before its October release date. Released by Ubisoft, the Rocksmith franchise has attempted to expand the once flourishing rhythm game (made popular by the ‘Rock Band’ and ‘Guitar Hero’ series) by enabling players to plug in a real guitar and jam with their favorite bands.

In fact, Rocksmith 2014 is not just a karaoke-style party title, as its intent is to actually give gamers the chance to craft their real-life strumming abilities. With over 85 lessons available, music junkies can sharpen their skills playing lead or rhythm guitar. Gamers who pre-order ‘Rocksmith 2014′ on any of its released platforms (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, or Mac) will also be given a free download of the Smashing Pumpkins tune ‘Cherub.’ The song will be available for download the day of the game’s release.

‘Rocksmith 2014′ has a diverse set of songs that should appeal to all types of rockers. If you dig alternative rock, use your guitar to play Radiohead‘s ‘Paranoid Android’ or R.E.M.‘s ‘Losing My Religion.’ What if you just want to bang your head? Pantera‘s ‘Cemetery Gates’ or Iron Maiden‘s ‘The Trooper’ might do the trick
