Shock rocker Alice Cooper knows a thing or two about theatrics, but the next stage he performs on may be a Broadway production. Cooper is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' musical, portraying the villainous Green Goblin. This Readers Poll asks if you think Cooper is a good choice to play the character.

Cooper has previously expressed an interest in Broadway, discussing the possibility of bringing his 'Welcome to My Nightmare' albums to the stage, so it's obvious that he's considered stage productions. And it's not like Cooper hasn't been playing a character complete with makeup, props and a certain look for years. Plus, Cooper has crafted a niche of performing as a character with a dark side.

On the other hand, it's not as if Broadway is the first thing you think of when it comes to hard rock and metal. And would the 65-year-old Cooper pass for the spry villain who wreaks so much havoc on Spider-Man's life? It's all speculation at this point as Cooper has not commented on the matter or confirmed or denied his participation.

But would you be okay with this casting choice? Let us know if you think Alice Cooper should play the Green Goblin in the 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' Broadway production by voting in the Readers Poll below:
