French black metal band Alcest will descend upon North America for the very first time, so they are finally popping their touring cherry by performing at a bunch of cultural epicenters.

Vocalist/guitarist Neige told Noisecreep, "We are feeling really glad to go on tour in the U.S. And for most of us in the band, this will be the first time. We are very curious to visit your country, to see a totally different culture, surroundings, behaviors, even if, unfortunately, I doubt we will be able to make a lot of tourism!""

Since Neige said there are "more than 500 kilometers between dates" -- that's approximately 310 miles -- the band will be sticking to the business at hand, but Neige has his eye on the Big Apple. "I above all want to see New York and Manhattan, and all these immense cityscapes are fascinating me pretty much. See you in April!"

Alcest will perform cuts from their debut, 'Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde,' in addition to the forthcoming 'Écailles De Lune,' which is due out April 20.
