Evidently, that guy from 'American Idol' has a band, and in a couple of months, they're going to hit the road.

That's right -- Aersomith, the perpetually warring bad boys from Boston, have announced dates for first leg of their Global Warming North American Summer Tour, and according to frontman-turned-TV personality Steven Tyler, the band "is back with a new vengeance." He adds that he and his legendary hard-rock crew will "kick your ass and make out with your mothers."

The trek is set to begin on June 16 in Minneapolis and wrap Aug. 8 in Tacoma, Wash., though additional stops are expected to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale March 30 and 31.

"After touring Japan and South America last year we're psyched about bringing it all back for the hometown fans," says bassist Tom Hamilton. "We're going to break out the classics, the hits and maybe even some of the new ones we've been banging out in the studio. Can't wait to get to Minneapolis!"
