Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler ‘Had Enough Downtime,’ Is Looking for Joe Perry

The drama between Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry reached its apex this summer, when Tyler took the gig as a new 'American Idol' judge. It left Perry to wonder aloud -- to the press and anyone else who would listen -- about who would sing for Aerosmith while Tyler was evaluating talent. Perry was incredibly vocal about wanting to move forward and not become static while Tyler was hanging out with Jennifer Lopez on the 'Idol' set.

Well, with the new season of 'Idol' premiering, Tyler is ready to return to the rock. "I'm trying to rally the guys together," Tyler told Rolling Stone. "We're having trouble getting Joe [Perry]. I don't know where he is, but just come down to L.A. at the end of January sometime. I've had enough downtime."

Let's hope Perry got this rock 'n' roll S.O.S.
