The gloves are off once again for jut-jawed Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry and scarf-loving vocalist Steven Tyler, who is reportedly up for one of the 'American Idol' judges table vacancies. This scenario has caused some strife within the Aerosmith ranks, and Perry lamented the future of the long-running band, suggesting that recruiting a new singer was an option in an interview with The Calgary Herald.

Perry said that while Tyler is busying himself with other projects and endeavors, the rest of Aerosmith isn't "going to sit around for two years waiting for him to come back." Perry, 60, also said, "You've got four guys that are great together, and if you find the right singer, there is no reason you can't go and entertain people."

While that may be true, few singers are of the caliber of Tyler. While there has been plenty of drama in the Aerosmith camp for the past several months, there is always a chance that the oft-feuding Perry and Tyler can put their differences behind them and continue to entertain people as a unit.
