Aerosmith’s Joe Perry: ‘I Am Not Going Anywhere’

Guitarist Joe Perry was absent from recent Aerosmith writing sessions in the studio due to other commitments, which led fans to speculate on whether or not Perry was still a full-fledged member of Aerosmith.

Perry -- who is often locked in some sort of strife with singer Steven Tyler over Tyler's new high profile gig as an 'American Idol' judge -- took to Twitter to update fans on his status and position within the band. "I am in Aerosmith," he tweeted. "I am not going anywhere."

Perry will return to working with the group this spring when they delve into the writing process again.
