Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford is set to pay tribute to Jimi Hendrix. He will join the second leg of the Experience Hendrix Tour. The tour celebrates Hendrix's vision by bringing together some of the world's best guitarists. All axe men on the tour were directly influenced by Hendrix himself.

In addition to Whitford, other musicians on the tour include Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Steve Vai, Los Lobos' David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas, Eric Johnson, Ernie Isley, Living Colour, Mato Nanji of Indigenous, Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble and Chuck and Darick Campbell of Sacred Steel.

Each night, fans get to see atypical collaborations, and it's not uncommon for other musicians to drop in on the show and jam. The touring musicians also choose their favorite Hendrix tunes to perform.

Bassist Billy Cox acts as the tour anchor. Cox played with Hendrix in both the Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsys and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Fender Musical Instruments Corp. is sponsoring the tour. Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster.
