Momentarily losing his 'New York Groove,' Ace Frehley fell from the stage last Wednesday (Oct. 26) during a guitar solo at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in Midtown Manhattan.

At about the 2:50 mark in the video below, the former KISS axman can be seen plummeting into the audience. He emerges unhurt, but it seems his instrument wasn't so lucky.

"We're going to have to get another guitar," he says before strapping on another of his trademark Les Pauls.

Amid chants of "Ace! Ace! Ace!" the erstwhile Spaceman resumes shredding, showing the tenacity that's helped him remain active for more than 40 years.

Fans wanting to learn more about Ace's storied career are in luck, as tomorrow marks the release of 'No Regrets: A Rock 'N' Roll Memoir,' a 288-page book the guitarist wrote with New York Times scribe Joe Layden.
