AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was reportedly convicted of cannabis possession in New Zealand earlier this week, according to AFP. While such a conviction might seem like a minor infraction, Rudd's lawyers fear it could carry larger ramifications for the skinsman and throw a wrench into his intense international tour schedule.

Rudd did not contest charges that police found a nominal amount of weed -- 0.95 ounces -- on his boat at Tauranga on the North Island. His legal team asked the courts to render the offense 'low level' so as not to interfere with his tour itinerary.

Despite the fact that Rudd has no prior drug convictions, the magistrate refused his lawyer's request, saying the drummer should have known better and considered the consequences, saying he "blindly ignored the law."

All in all, Rudd was convicted and fined the equivalent of $190 US.
