Georgia epic/sludge/psych/everything-metallers Baroness are gearing up for the release of Yellow & Green, their third album. Produced by John Congleton (Modest Mouse, David Byrne), the double album features all of the elements that made us fall in love with the band, but it also finds Baroness honing in on the more straight-ahead hard rock elements of their sound.

With the album release right around the corner (July 17), Noisecreep reached out to Baroness bassist Matt Maggioni for a list of the five albums that changed his life. And while he did send us that (running at a later date), the bassist also included a funny list of, well, read on and you'll see.

5 Things I Hate That Other People Love
by Matt Maggioni

-Nick Cage (I want to meet him)
-Ray Romano
-Toilet paper made of cardboard. They love that shit in Europe.
-When people tell me they're "Livin' the dream."
-Cosmetic plastic surgery
