As the mighty Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival kicked off in San Bernardino, Calif. on Saturday (June 30), a lot of the buzz swirling around backstage had to do with the manslaughter arrest (and subsequent release) in Prague of Lamb of God lead singer Randy Blythe. His onstage altercation with a fan happened back in 2010, and his arrest last week sent a jolt through the metal world.

While details were still sketchy, some of the artists we spoke with offered some thoughts on Blythe, and the very frequent reality of fans that choose to get up onstage, uninvited.

As I Lay Dying's lead singer Tim Lambesis may have hit the nail on the though when he told Noisecreep, 'I hope this all blows over for his sake, but the strange thing is, it's probably pretty good publicity for the band."
