Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee doesn't want to take photos with his fans.

In a lengthy post on his personal Facebook page the 49-year-old explained that while he appreciates his fans, he doesn't feel obligated to pose for pictures with them.

From Lee's Facebook page:

"Dear fans,

"I fucking LOVE my fans! And you know this!!!... If you asked anyone that knows me really well, they would tell ya the same thing... 'Tommy loves his fans. He lives for this shit... he eats, breathes, shits music 24/7.' They'll also probably tell ya that 'he's a down-to-earth grateful life-lovin dude and a nice guy, too.'

"What I have a problem with is... taking pictures! I hate it! Irritates the fuck out of me when people say... 'You owe it to your fans, they put you where you are, etc. etc.!'

"I certainly don't owe anybody anything!"

Geoff Tate, formerly of Queensrÿche, has spoken out about his ouster from the band for which he sang for three decades. He said he was shocked that he was being pushed out and that the members of his family who worked for the band were fired. The target was then placed on his back, with his bandmates telling him he was up next for a dismissal. He learned he was out via a letter from their lawyer to his!

Tate is completely and totally confused by the split, saying, "We've all known each other for 30 years. Our kids have all grown up together. We've been to barbecues together, and weddings, and divorces, and births of our children. For it to end in such a hostile way, it's just mind-boggling. I just don't understand it."

He also said there was no knife fight in Brazil, as was rumored. I asked them, "Why is this happening?" They really couldn't give me a straight answer, or any kind of answer that made any kind of business sense. It seemed like a personal vendetta against me. Anyway, the meeting was short and we went to do the show. I'm getting ready by my station, ready to go on stage, and Scott [Rockenfield] looks at me and he smirks and says, 'We just fired your whole family, and you're next.' I just lost it. I tried to punch him. I don't think I landed a punch before somebody grabbed me and hauled me to the side. On my way, I managed to shove [Michael] Wilton, and really, that was it. I cooled down and we did the show, and everything went fine...No. No knife involved. You can't really get knives into foreign countries." [RollingStone.com]

System of a Down's Serj Tankian and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello are rabble rousers who get their fans to think about social and political issues, so it's no surprise that Tankian, who is about to drop Harakiri, is an admirer of Morello. Muck rackers need to stick together. "Tom is my hero, he literally is," Tankian said. "He's phenomenal." What a love fest between to people willing to change the game and to use hard rock as an instrument of such. [Loudwire]
