It's a great time to be a member of Motionless in White. In the last few weeks the modern metallers headed down to Australia to slay fans as part of the Soundwave Festival and tour with Marilyn Manson and were nominated for two Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards (Best Video, Best Breakthrough Act).

Today, Motionless in White release the Celldweller remix of 'Creatures,' the title track to their 2010 breakthrough debut album. If that weren't already enough, the group finished up the first half of their upcoming album with producer Tim Skold (KMFDM, Marilyn Manson).

Noisecreep got its hands on some exclusive photos of the band in the studio and we also caught up with Motionless in White frontman Chris Cerulli to get an update on the band's new album.

What was the crowd reception like for Motionless in White down under for Soundwave Festival?

Shockingly amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect at all but some of the shows were unreal and beat out a lot of shows we've done here in the States. I can't wait to go back.

Who was your favorite band to witch live on the Soundwave bill?

I watched a lot of bands. My favorite performance was probably watching Thursday on the last day of Soundwave. They claim that it was their last show ever and it was extremely emotional. There were tons of bands on the stage to watch them and they played their hearts out one last time. That band meant a lot to me for so many years and to see an amazing band that I have many memories because of close out their career was a really moving. I'll never forget it.

Which bands did you made friends with on the tour?

We ended up meeting and getting along great with all the dudes from A Day to Remember, Coal Chamber and Wednesday 13. All of them were super cool to us and great dudes. I really hope we get a chance to tour with any of them in the future.

How has recording the new album been going so far?

Fantastic. Just finished up part 1 with Tim Skold [seen in the first photo of this piece] and I'm really f---ing stoked about how it's sounding. Everything I wanted.

What do you expect Jason Suecof to bring to the next phase of recording?

He is going to make shit sound heavy as f--- [laughs]. I think he is going to really be able to tap into the heavier aspects of our band and make them even better. He is an amazing producer and I can't f---ing wait to work with him.

The U.K. press has really embraced you, including the Metal Hammer awards nominations - how does that feel to be hitting a nerve with overseas audiences as well as the U.S.?

It's pretty rad. I've always wanted to make an impact with fans in Europe because I felt like they would "get" our band. To see that that's actually happening make me really happy. I hope it continues to grow.

What do you think of the Celldweller remixes?

I like them. I wasn't sure how any of our songs would end up sounding being remixed but I'm happy with it. Definitely something new and fresh.

Can we expect to see you moving more into the industrial / dance world for album two?

Yes, we are absolutely going to be putting a lot of industrial influence into some of the new songs. We are really into bands like Psyclon Nine, Combichrist, Suicide Commando etc... so we would love to bring that into our music.

Pick up the Celldweller remix of 'Creature' today from iTunes.
