Nickelback

We're now deep into 2010 and Canadians Nickelback are about to embark on a new leg of their mega-huge 'Dark Horse' tour. This leg will be solely in America. For those keeping score, 'Dark Horse' was released in 2008 -- meaning the album is a bit of a success. Already with two legs of touring done all over the world, the members of Nickelback say they continually strive to give their fans more. In fact, the stage show and pyrotechnics have all been redesigned for this new batch of dates. But what about market saturation?

"America's a big place!" Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger tells Noisecreep exclusively by phone. "And there's just so many places. There's a bunch of places that we haven't been to and we're going to hit on this next run. We like to try to give everybody out there in the world who wants to come and see Nickelback perform live, a chance to do so. And if the demand is there, we're going to go."

This upcoming leg of Nickelback tour dates isn't going to be short, either. It's 25 dates, with Buckcherry and Three Days Grace providing direct support. Of course, Kroeger is mindful of the current state of the world economy.

"In this day in age, in these times when everyone's canceling tours, [ours] is a wonderful problem to have. So we're going to get out there," Kroeger continues, "because who knows how long this is going to last? I don't know when someone's going to shoot up a flare or the airplane's going to go cruising by with this huge long sign that says, 'We don't want to see you anymore.' I don't know when that day's coming. So we just want to extend this as long as we possibly can."
