Korn

It's official! A few days after rumors first surfaced, suggesting Korn had inked a deal with Roadrunner Records, the band's frontman, Jonathan Davis, confirmed the signing late last week in an interview with Idaho-based radio station KQXR. Davis appeared on the program to promote Korn's appearance this summer on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival and to plug the new record, which he says should be in stores sometime this summer.

"We're going to go to Roadrunner," Davis confirmed during his chat with 'The Morning After' program. "[It's] real exciting for us, too, because they're one of the last record companies to let you do what you want to do and, um, all the great bands around are on that label and everything seems to just work out right and it seems like a good home for us right now."

The rumors about the Roadrunner signing first came to light last week, when someone claiming to be Korn guitarist James 'Munky' Shaffer spilled the beans during an online chat with fans March 23.

'Korn III -- Remember Who You Are' is the band's ninth studio set, and it was helmed by producer Ross Robinson, who worked with Korn on their first two releases.

"It's really like the old school stuff ... like the first two records," Davis recently told Noisecreep. "It's just going back to our roots, working with Ross ... it's just been amazing, and it sounds like nothing we've ever done. It's more in the vein of the first two records, and we're really excited about it. And working with Ross, it just sort of evolved out of us, naturally. He's got us going back to the old school-style of how we were writing, and how we all just sat in a room together and did all this stuff so. We're excited ... it's just how its been taking shape."
