Dear Ozzy Osbourne: We know that breakups can be tough. But listen ... it's time to cut the cord already. It's best to end it swiftly ... like pulling off a band-aid. So, why don't you just pick up the phone, or send an email, or have your lawyers call his lawyers ... whatever way you want to do it. Just do it. Let Zakk know he's a free man, and let him move on with his life. If you're moving on, it's only fair that Zakk be able to move on, too. P.S. Thank you, Ozzy, for reading the site. Tell the wife and kids about it.

+ Yes, that's right ... today's lead item is about Ozzy Osbourne and whether his longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde remains in the Prince of Darkness' good graces. If you're a regular reader of this column, you know that for the past month or so, the issue of whether Wylde will continue to strike his axe for Osbourne is something of a mystery. In June, Osbourne told Classic Rock Magazine that his material was sounding too much like Wylde's work with Black Label Society, and that he'd be auditioning new guitarists, including this unnamed guy from Greece. Now, Blabbermouth is claiming Firewind's 28-year-old Greek guitarist Gus G. has been tapped to play with Osbourne at the upcoming BlizzCon convention in Anaheim, Calif.

+ Some tours are just too good to be true. But this one is no joke: Mastodon, Dethklok, Converge and High on Fire will be heading out on a 34-city jaunt that kicks off October 2 in Portland, Ore., and runs through November 19 in Los Angeles. We'll be at the New York City stop October 30.

+ Yesterday, we told you all about Machine Head's beef with Limp Bizkit. Today, we've got Lamb of God ripping Buzkit a new one. Lamb of God's Willie Adler was interviewed during the Sonisphere festival, and was asked about Limp Bizkit. "Who cares about Limp Bizkit?," Adler asked. "I'm not interested in Limp Bizkit. F--k those dudes! F--k that band, and f--k all the people who work for that f---in' band!"

+ Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has titled his forthcoming fifth solo album 'Joe Perry ... Have Guitar Will Travel.' The disc is tentatively due in November.

+ Experimental metal act Pelican are back in the studio, to finish the tracking of their next album, 'What We All Come To Need.' Guitarist Laurent Lebec says the album is "the most perfect synthesis of everything we've done to date, sonically," and will feature several guests, including Greg Anderson of Sunn O))) and Aaron Turner of Isis.

+ Technical death metallers Brain Drill have added a new drummer to their lineup. Ron Casey, best known for his work with Vaginal Discharge, takes over for Joe Bondra, who recently took leave of his post. The band continues working on the follow-up to 2008's 'Apocalyptic Feeding,' which should be in stores sometime next year.

+ More and more information about Skinlab's new album 'The Scars Between Us' is being revealed ahead of the disc's September 15 release date. The disc will feature 11 songs, including the title track, 'Face of Aggression,' 'Wolvesblood,' 'In For The Kill' and 'Still Suffering.'
