Steel Panther lead singer Michael Starr is just kicking it around the house.

"I'm just looking on the Internet to see if I can find any new pictures of myself," Starr said during a recent interview with Noisecreep. "You know, it's really cool to find pictures of yourself on the Internet. A lot of times they're pictures from gigs, but sometimes the women put pictures of me, you know, on the Internet."

Starr and the rest of his band-guitarist Satchel, bassist Lexxi Foxxx and drummer Stix Zadinia-do not have a lot of time to kill these days. They're heavily promoting the single 'Death to All But Metal,' a title that pretty much says it all about the song.

"It was written by Satchel," Starr said. "He writes pretty much all the songs so I can hang out . I get all the clothes made, the outfits organized for photo shoots. That's what I write. That's what I create because it's really a lot to take on to write and do the costumes, so I just choose to remain anonymous when it comes to that.

"I know why he wrote that song: He wrote it because we were all talking about how much we hate bands that aren't metal. I mean we really can't stand them. We don't like what they stand for. We don't like them. Thing about this: All the bands that are out today that are on active rock radio, they're all heavy metal bands in disguise because if they go out as heavy metal, no one's going to touch them with a 10-foot pole. Disturbed is a heavy metal band in disguise, and lucky for Dave (Draiman, singer) because he went bald. He's able to disguise himself pretty good. But you have bands like Eminem and Dr. Dre and then you have other bands that totally suck anyway even if they weren't heavy metal bands, kind of like the Firehouse of metal. That's what the song is really based on. "
